Think about this: What’s the biggest reason millions of people log onto the internet each day? You probably already guessed that it’s to find information. This is so ubiquitous a quest that Google handles 400 million queries a day! OK, so what’s it to you? Well, this is an opportunity for your to provide what people want – information. And if you do it right . . . to make some money along the way.

Info marketing 101

First of all, an info business is the least complex business possible. You create a product that provides information. And other people buy this product to get the info. It couldn’t get much simpler.

But how does it all work?

We’ve established that it’s a simple concept. But to make it a successful business there has to be value in the info you’re selling. So the key is to figure out what people want. How do figure that out?

A super simple trick is to just to check “answer” sites. Just go to Yahoo! answers or ask.com and you’ll get a good idea of the kinds of things people need help with. You want to find something a lot of people are asking about. For things that are causing people discomfort. And solve the problem for them by writing an info product on it.

Power tip

If you’re worried about how to write and ebook. Think about this: An ebook is nothing more than a collection of articles. Writing a whole ebook can be overwhelming. Just try to write one or two articles a day. And when you have a collection, flesh them out, add to them and combine them into a single ebook.

OK, what’s so hot about digital products? Well, that bring me to the tile of this article Here are the seven reasons

1. Simplicity

An info product business runs on auto-pilot. There is almost no support. Which means there nothing for you to actually *do*. It really is like and automatic money machine.

You don’t have any inventory. You don’t have to ship anything. Your business is 100% digital.

2. Repackaging

Once you have a few info products created. You can combine them together to create new high ticket products. It’s very easy to package multiple ebooks together as one new one. And you’ll be able to charge much more for this “new” product. Your customers will gladly pay more for a single bigger ebook. Versus multiple smaller ones.

3. Private label right

When you own the product, you can sell resell rights to it. This is a very popular topic right now, because people just don’t want to invest the time and money into making their own. Plus, you get to charge two to three time as much for these rights.

4. Leverage

Leverage your ebook by using the content in different ways. Take parts of your info product and turn it into a email training series. And build an email list that you can sell other products to.

5. More leverage

Don’t stop there . . . break it into several smaller reports. These reports can then become lead generators for your ebook. They can be free or low prices. And it still benefits you because it in a lead-in for the main product. Taking this technique to the max, you can let your affiliate give the reports away for you. Which brings us to…

6. Affiliates

This is one of the biggest reasons of all. Once you have your own product. You can get other people to promote it for you. Imagine having 100′s or 1000′s of other people promoting your products. You can’t do this unless you have your own product.

7. JVs

OK, this is by far the biggest reason why. The number one way to launch your success is through joint ventures. So, I’d say this is the most important reason to have you own products. Without your own products, you can’t do JVs.

Summing it up

If you’re not convinced to start selling information products, then you’re either crazy or not listening. ;-) You’ll be the master of your destiny. Because it’s your business and you control it. So, decide to just start:

  • Visit an “answers” site
  • Discover what questions are being asked
  • Start writing

The steps on how to write an ebook are really that easy. And in no time you’ll have an info product ready to go.
